Foundation of Irievibrations Records
When Professa & Syrix visited their family in Jamaica as young boys, they were immediately overwhelmed by the island’s flair and the vibes of the local sound systems. Their musical socialization began, and from then on, it revolved around the riddims of reggae. This early cultural imprint and their unconditional love for music initiated the foundation of their band Iriepathie. To be completely independent as artists, they decided to establish their own label, Irievibrations Records, in 2003.
Amadeus Austrian Music Award
In 2007 Iriepathie’s strong and confident album Reggaestration convinced the jury of the Amadeus, the Austrian music award, when they were announced “Best Austrian Alternative Act 2006” and awarded with this highly respected prize.
Professa & Syrix visited regularly their most favourite island Jamaica to stay connected with the local reggae scene. These travels often resulted in long-term collaborations and iconic album productions, such as Luciano – Rub-A-Dub Market (2011) and Anthony B – Freedom Fighter (2012).
Irievibrations Records had also the pleasure to work with Morgan Heritage, Gyptian, Delus & Konshens, Junior Kelly and many more incredible artists from Jamaica.
Raf Camora is Raf 3.0
In 2012 the very first album of Raf Camora as Raf 3.0 has entered the Top 10 German and Austrian album charts. This huge success was the beginning of a brilliant career in the German-speaking music industry. The relationship and collaborations with Irievibrations Records will last beyond this release.
Ten years in a row Eastrock Festival took place in Lienz, Austria. From 2010 to 2019 Irievibrations invited a bunch of international top-class reggae and rap artists to come to their hometown and perform on stage.
Bonez MC & Raf Camora, Inner Circle, Anthony B, Chakuza, Mellow Mood, Hans Söllner, Jesse Royal and many more created unforgettable moments at Eastrock Festival.
In 2018 Irievibrations Records undertook management and productions of the rising star GReeeN. His two albums Smaragd (2019) and Highland (2020) entered the Top 10 German and Austrian charts. Sold out tours and songs that are streamed and viewed a millionfold are not unusual anymore. Now then, what’s next?
